Eight years pass due for a new president and no offense to bush but we needed change. here is an event put on by Russell Simmons, Smart Water, and PR company JLM PR. Many VIPs showed up to lend their support in the coming elections. In the Club/ Lounge TAJ 2.0 there were live feeds of the election debates. The DJ was spinning and the crowd was loud with overlapping chatter but when the debate came on you could not hear a peep accross the room. The crowd included Russell Simmons, Ludacris, ANTM Jaslene Gonzalez, Hip Hop Violinist Miri Ben-Ari, Aubrey O’Day, Cedric The Entertainer, Alexander Allen, Zenell from G’s to Gents, EPMD, Comedian Anthony Anderson, S.W Roseburg, BJ Coleman, DEF Jam’s Jamal Jimoh, Universal Recording Artist Stephanie Vara, Kevin Liles, Chanel Iman, Simon Perry, Naughty by Nature, Stephon Marbury and many others.

We had a chance to hang out with Winner Indashio from Vivica A Fox’s show on VH1 “Glam God”. He was celebrating his recent victory against the other contestants of the show. Overall we had a great time with him and the other invited guest. it took place at the old “China Club” now dubbed “Opera”. Other guest included Actor/Model Emmi Grullon, Manager Jean Alerte, Dancer/Actress Jori Jordon, America’s Next Top Model Winner Jaslene Gonzalez (cycle 8), American Idol contestant Joanne Borgella, CEO of ML Transportation Mike, Tina, America’s Next top model Contestant Kimberly Leemans, DJ Camilo, Ebony Magazine’s own Elaine Welteroth, and of course us Moises de Pena, and Jerritt Clark. Mayor Bloomberg at a star-studded award ceremony, awarded Tony-winning playwright Neil Simon. The Bronx-born Simon was the featured honoree at the Mayor’s Awards for Arts and Culture, winning the Handel Medallion, the city’s highest award for artistic achievement. Also at the event was Danny Simmons co- founder of RUSH Philanthropic Arts Foundation , brother of Russell Simmons, Ugly Betty Star Vanessa Williams, Actor Matthew Broderick, and Statler & Waldorf of the Muppets amongst many others. many live performances and trait shows occurred before the ceremony.

Zenith Movie Set/ Club Providence

I had the chance to be on the set and play an extra on the set of the movie Zenith. I was only able to be on two scenes where I played an amused club goer in the first one. And an unlucky swinger in the other. As far as the plot i didn’t get much of it from looking around and I guess it was taboo to ask but I found out anyway. its a thriller about two men in two time periods, whose search for the same grand conspiracy leads them to question their own humanity. The set was filled with energy, ball spinners, girls on stilts, cowboys, thugs, exotic dancers, well you get the point. Look out for the movie its in-dependant. Set: Club Runway 4 E 28th st, NYC

After the movie we went to Club Providence on 57th st between 8th and 9th where we had the pleasure of running into Lucky from the Retro Kids, Kwame “IT” Smalls from I Love NY 2 and I Love Money 2, Universal recording Artist Knight, and DJ Kid Cudi.
